TARGET TIP: 10% off

Posted by Ethne~

Well, today I ran over to Target on my lunch break to print up a few photos for the girls’ pre-school picture-book.  It’s due tomorrow, so Mommy and Daddy had to crack to it.  Did you know you can choose pictures straight from Facebook and print them at Target?  SLICK!

Anyway, we are having family photos on Shaun’s side of the family this weekend.  We all need to look our best and so I was on the prowl for a new shirt to wear.  I found one, but it had the very slightest sewing ‘oops’ on the shoulder.  No one will even notice, and it may not even need to be fixed, but I did ask for a discount.

Target’s got a pretty good customer service policy in my opinion:MAKE CUSTOMERS HAPPY.  Even though the damage was slight, it was the only shirt I wanted in my size.  They gave me a 10% damage discount off of their product.

10% may not sound like a big deal, but when my shirt was $19.99 and I got it knocked down to $17.99, that’s like a $2.00 high-value coupon Friends!

Don’t forget to ask your stores for a damage discount.  Since I’m handy, I can take a needle and thread and stitch the shoulder on my new shirt.  Even if you’re not handy with a needle, often the damage doesn’t actually require fixing in the first place.

Have any of you had good customer service at stores like Target and Walmart.  Have there been damage discounts you’ve totally benefited from?  Do you need any tips from Lori and me on how to fix a little flaw?  We’d love to hear from you!
