Steve and I spent the day preparing the yard for winter! YUCK! I can’t believe I have winter weather to look forward to, however I am enjoying my wood burning fireplace while writing this post—truly nothing is better!
Recently, Steve picked up some crab apples for me for FREE! His co-worker was giving them away and I couldn’t resist!
I like to peel, cut, and freeze my apples so they are easily available and ready when I need to make a quick apple crisp. SUPER EASY!
I freeze the apples in four-cup zip-lock bags. When it is time to make a dessert (typically apple crisp), I pull them out of the freezer and let them thaw. You will need to drain the excess liquid off them from freezing.
It’s fast! It’s simple! And for me…it was FREE!
