Steve and I had been in need of a new bed for some time. You see—we recently completed gutted and remodeled our bedroom. We have a story and ½ house and our room exists on the top level.
We quickly discovered that a box spring would not make it up the stairs and rather than purchasing a split box spring…we knew we wanted a platform bed.
I have been looking and looking, but couldn’t find the style or design I was looking for. However, a trip to IKEA and there it was.
This bed is white, clean, modern, and the best part is that it offers storage underneath (large drawers for sweaters and pants). The Brimnes bed’s low price-tag was ONLY $250.00. WOW—that’s very affordable.
Steve and I have purchased several IKEA furniture items for our home and overall we have been very satisfied with their durability and quality; especially with their very low
price-tag.

Next up…my mom (crafty G-Ma) is making a black and white quilt for the bed. I CAN’T WAIT! There will be a photo reveal of the bedroom progress soon...I promise! I LOVE IT!
