DOUBLE-HEADER FRIDAY: COLD TOES BE-GONE!

Posted by Lori~

I L.O.V.E. my 1930’s house!  It is a story and a half, and we recently made the top floor our bedroom (I promise to post photos someday).  When creating our bedroom we insulated the walls, but we didn’t insulate the crawl space.  That’s where this project comes into play.
This is what Steve looked like when everything was done!
WHAT A MESS...BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT!
We needed to make our bedroom warmer…our toes were cold!  So, a few weekends ago Steve and his step-dad Dave blew in insulation.  They blew, and they blew, and they ended up blowing in 26 bags of the stuff.

26 bags of this stuff!

The insulation went through this hose from the street to our top floor bedroom.
I think the neighbors were CONFUSED!

Steve was covered in insulation, Dave was cold due to the ND winter weather and was responsible for feeding the insulation into the machine, I stood at the window and controlled the hose (This is definitely a three person job).

The massive blower with Dave!
The best part of this project is that it was affordable….the rental for the machine was FREE!

Already we feel warmer and we would encourage all you WOMS to get busy and insulate!  The benefits are enormous.  Your cold toes will appreciate you (AND SO WILL YOUR POCKETBOOK).
Insulation day:
WOW DAD--LOOK AT THAT "FARGO" HAT!
