Steve and I actually used to live in a residence hall…we were dorm parents! I often think that I should write a sit-com based on our experiences in the residence hall (TV producers—are you reading?).
And I currently hold a position in my little city, ND town working with student life and I LOVE it! On occasion I like to bring my talents in to the halls and recently held a Christmas craft night!
And we had a blast. Here are a few highlights from my craft night…super easy…super affordable! Consider it!
First up, we made the rolled paint glass Christmas ornaments. All you need to do is purchase a pack of clear Christmas balls (I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby for 50% off! SUPER AFFORDABLE!).
Then all you need is paint from the craft section of the store and cups for drips. Simply open up your glass ball and roll in the paint. Set upside down in the cup for drips! BEAUTIFUL! I ESPECIALLY LOVE METALIC PAINT AND THIS WAS BY FAR THEIR FAVORITE CRAFT OF THE NIGHT! MAJOR HIT!
Next up, was a reindeer ornament made out of Christmas bulbs. SUPER EASY! All you need is brown pipe cleaner, a pom-pom, googly eyes, gold ribbon/string, and a hot glue gun. Glue—done!

Aw! The magnets we made in 2007 at your first Christmas craft night are still on my fridge! Have fun in Disney World--I know you will!!
